Liberty AGM and Policy Council Elections 2026
Join us online for our 2026 Annual General Meeting
Liberty members are invited to join us online on Saturday 16 May 2026 for our next Annual General Meeting. This a chance for members to come together to learn about and discuss key issues in human rights and make important decisions about Liberty’s work.
Registration for the AGM will be available from early Spring 2026.
Please note the AGM is only open to Liberty members. If you would like to become a member you can join online here.
MOTIONS FOR DEBATE
Members and affiliates may propose motions and constitutional amendments for debate at our AGM.

POLICY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Our Policy Council is looking for new members who share our passion for human rights and who want to create a better society by shaping Liberty’s policy work. If you’re a Liberty member with experience – be it lived, professional or voluntary – or understanding of any of the issues we work on, from protest to policing to equalities and more, we want to hear from you! We aim to have a Policy Council that reflects the many different communities we work with, and we welcome applications from members of all backgrounds.
The Council meets three times per year to discuss pressing human rights issues and help shape Liberty’s agenda.
All members of the Policy Council must be members of Liberty and must comply with its Objects and Values which can be found in the Constitution.

The deadline for nominating members for election to Policy Council is 5pm on 31 January 2025.
Ballot packs and candidate statements will be sent to members by mid-April.
