Tomorrow is Liberty’s Members’ Conference and AGM and we're looking forward to a day of inspiring talks and lively debate.

Here are five reasons to come along to Liberty's Members' Conference and AGM

1. Joanna Lumley in conversation with Shami Chakrabarti

We are delighted to be joined by actor, author and human rights campaigner Joanna Lumley who will be talking to Shami about her inspirational campaigning work.

2. Workshops with human rights experts

We have some fantastic workshops lined up this year with high profile human rights activists. There is something for everything and we’ll be covering topics from ‘Human rights in recession’ to ‘Is speech free online?’. Amongst others we will be joined by blogger, author and campaigner Cory Doctorow and Executive Director of Privacy International Gus Hosein.

3. Directly influence Liberty policy

The AGM is your opportunity to debate and influence Liberty policy.

4. Panel discussion

It’s not often you get to ask MPs and journalists about civil liberties; this is your chance to do just that. Joining us for this year’s panel discussion are Emily Thornberry MP, Simon Hughes MP, Dominic Grieve MP and journalist Marina Hyde, with our very own Director of Policy Isabella Sankey. Keeping them in check and chairing the panel will be Liberty Director Shami Chakrabarti.

5. Meet Liberty members & staff

Liberty’s Members’ Conference & AGM brings together members from all over the UK. The day is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other members and Liberty staff, share in your beliefs and build on our network of dedicated supporters.

If you're not yet a Liberty member you can come along and join up on the day at Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU. Registration opens at 9.15am and sessions will run from 10am - 5pm.

Don’t miss your opportunity to join us for this fantastic day!
